Thriving Mind | South Florida promotes access to effective, accountable and compassionate care for people with mental illnesses and substance use disorders. We fund and oversee a safety net of services for uninsured individuals in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties with support from the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, and other public and private sources.

Community Mental Health Centers

A Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) is a publicly funded, not-for-profit center which contracts with Thriving Mind South Florida

for the provision of inpatient, outpatient, day treatment, or crisis services.

Each CMHC serves a specific geographic area. Please note the zip codes for each service location.

The need is huge. Of the approximately 277,586 in need in our service area, about 33,505 annually receive treatment services through a safety net system operated by Thriving Mind South Florida. We help a total of 378,823 through treatment and direct prevention services.

Network Providers
Our network of monitored and evaluated agencies provide behavioral health treatment and prevention services for patients of all ages and incomes in South Florida.
Drop-in Centers
For individuals with severe and persistent mental illness to independently develop, operate, and participate in social, recreational and networking activities.
Community Mental Health Centers
A publicly funded, not-for-profit center which contracts with Thriving Mind South Florida for the provision of inpatient, outpatient, day treatment, or crisis services.
Clubhouses
Clubhouses provide non-clinical services which include a work-ordered day and peer-to-peer recovery support, services and assistance.
