Thriving Mind South Florida leadership attended South Florida Regional Planning Council Conference “Closing the Gaps: Supporting Mental Health through a Continuum of Housing and Supportive Services” Friday at Nova Southeastern University.

• Thriving Mind COO Laura Naredo spoke on a panel “Local Success with Behavioral Health Implementation” along with Maria Hernandez, LCSW, Community Impact Chief Program Officer, United Way Broward; Scott Hansel, CEO, Chapman Partnership; The Honorable Ari Abraham Porth, Circuit Court Judge, 17th Judicial Circuit; Barry Reiman, Psy.D., Vice President, Recovery Unplugged Behavioral Health.
• Thriving Mind’s Peer Services Manager Derek Moore and NAMI Miami-Dade President and Thriving Mind Board Director Susan Racher sat on panel: “From Lived Experiences to Sustainable Solutions: Real Stories of Housing and Mental Health Support.” They were joined by Fresh Start CEO Sandra McQueen-Baker and Kristi Messer, Board President, Task Force For Ending Homelessness.
