Derek Moore, Thriving Mind’s Peer Services Manag

Derek Moore, Thriving Mind’s Peer Services Manager, spoke this week at a Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), where he shared his recovery story and talked about the functions of our organization’s Peer Department. CIT emphasizes a partnership between law enforcement, the mental health and substance use disorder treatment system, mental health advocacy groups, and individuals of mental health services and their families.

Derek was joined by Esther Serrano, Thriving Mind’s Peer Services Specialist, and Habsi W. Kaba with the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Criminal Mental Health Project.
