What do you do at Thriving Mind?
At Thriving Mind, I supervise the Continuous Quality Improvement team which handles contract monitoring, complaints, grievances and investigations, Incident Reporting System (IRAS), risk management, and developing systems and processes that ensure our providers meet the highest standards of care, rules and regulations and contract requirements across our system of care.
How do you help individuals with mental illness/substance use disorders?
While I work primarily on the quality improvement and assurance systems, my role directly impacts individuals by ensuring that the care they receive is safe, effective, and culturally responsive. I help ensure that standards are met and hold providers accountable to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed, evidence-based care.
Why is this work important to you?
This work is deeply personal and purposeful for me. I’ve spent my entire career advocating for equitable, accessible, and compassionate behavioral healthcare. I believe in the power of healing—when individuals receive quality care, it transforms not only their lives, but their families and communities as well. Ensuring our systems work for those most in need is a responsibility I take seriously, and one I’m honored to lead.
Previous employment (title/employer): 25 + years of experience at both the clinical and management levels across many levels of care.
Hobbies/Family (any personal info you want to include):
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring wellness practices that center mind-body healing. I’m passionate about lifelong learning, mentoring emerging professionals, and contributing to community initiatives that promote mental health equity.
