Peer Victim Advocate Specialist
Eric L. Robinson began his career in 2013 at the Miami Rescue Mission, a Christian-based homeless shelter integrating addiction recovery and mental health services. Starting in Guest Services, he quickly rose through the ranks—becoming a Case Manager within six months and later, in 2015, the Guest Services Supervisor, where he oversaw daily shelter operations.
In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Eric contracted the virus and faced long-term complications that led to his departure from the Mission and the community he deeply cherished. After recovering, he embraced a new chapter as the Spiritual Life and Wellness Coordinator at the Chapman Partnership, another leading homeless services organization, where he served until 2023.
During his time at Chapman, Eric expanded his impact by joining the Trauma Recovery Network at Thriving Mind South Florida, where he currently serves as a Peer Victim Advocate Specialist, supporting individuals navigating trauma and recovery.
Eric is a certified Addiction Counselor, Behavioral Health Technician, and Recovery Peer Specialist. He earned an Associate of Ministry from Jacksonville Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017 and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice from Miami Dade College in 2022. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Management.
Beyond his professional and academic achievements, Eric is a devoted husband to Dr. Carleen Vincent-Robinson, his wife of 17 years. Together, they have two children, and Eric is a proud father of six.
