Thriving Mind South Florida, which has been operating the behavioral health safety net system in our region for over 20 years, announces that the Department of Children and Families intends to award the organization a new contract for Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
Thriving Mind contracts with more than 40+ health care provider organizations in our region for mental health and substance use treatment and prevention services for the uninsured and underinsured, directly serving more than 300,000 individuals each year.
This intended contract, which has not yet been executed, is expected to go into effect July 1, 2025.
Thriving Mind’s staff, leadership and board of directors look forward to continuing to work with our stakeholders to provide evidence-based care to our community – from crisis services such as 988 and Mobile Response to innovative programs like the Living Room and first-in-state programs like our new Short-term Residential Program for children and youth.
